Legal Requirements


✓    Birth certificates
✓    Copies of passport
✓    Decree absolute/divorce certificate (if divorced)
✓    Affidavit stating marital status, stamped by a notary (if divorced or widowed)
✓    Spouse's death certificate and previous marriage certificate (if widowed)
✓    Documents relating to change of name (if applicable)
✓    Documents relating to adoption (if applicable)
✓    Parental consent in the form of an affidavit, stamped by a notary, if the age of the bride and or bridegroom falls below the legal requirement of the country
✓    All affidavits, once signed by a notary should be sent to the Kenyan High     Commission for stamping and authentication
✓    Parties must be in the Country three working days before a wedding can be performed (Dates falling on public holidays e.g. Easter, Christmas day, Boxing Day, weekends would be available but at an extra cost only at Voyager Beach Resorts)
✓    Minimum age requirements is 21 years*of age for both bride and groom (*Parental consent in the form of an affidavit, stamped by a notary, if the age of the bride or groom falls below the legal requirement of the country)
✓    Legal documents detailing bride and groom's father and mother's full names, occupation, retired, deceased or as applicable
