The Superior Garden Cabins

Set on beautifully landscaped gardens of colourful tropical flowers, towering palms and ponds, the Superior Garden Cabins are spacious, opening to the private balconies edged by the lush green lawns.

All the Superior Garden Cabins – are tastefully done – simple elegance complete with every modern amenity to make the passenger feel right at home. They are ideal for passengers on a longer cruise with space for comfort.

The Garden View Plus Cabins
If you prefer to be closer to deck, in the midst of it all, the garden view plus cabins are ideal. Similar to the superior sea facing cabins – with expansive views of the garden and glimpses of the ocean, you’re closer to the pools, the restaurants, and the where the action is.

Hotel Check-in and Check-out

Normal checkout time is 10am. For early check-in you may need to book the night before. Day rooms can usually be reserved up to 6pm for departures in the evening.

Getting there

After a 40-minute flight from Nairobi, you will be transferred to the resort which is on Nyali Road in Nyali, 10 kilometres north of Mombasa town (20 kilometres from the airport).

The Moi international airport in Mombasa is serviced daily by Kenya Airways, Fly540, Mombasa Air and Air Kenya from Wilson Airport in Nairobi, Malindi Airport and Jomo Kenyatta International Airport in Nairobi, as well as many international charters.

What you need to know

Airport Departure Tax and Service Charge

Airport departure taxes are now included in price of the international flight ticket for all three East African countries. It is also the policy of most travel agencies to quote domestic fares inclusive of airport taxes. They can be paid in either local or foreign currency.

Malaria: this is a disease spread by the female anopheles mosquitoes that bite mainly at dusk and at night. It is advisable that every traveler to Africa consult with their doctor before arriving. We provide mosquito nets for night protection, as well as repellants for use during the day.

The official languages of the Republic of Kenya are Kiswahili and English.

Currency

The official currency of the Republic of Kenya is the Kenya Shilling (Ksh).

Major currencies like the US Dollar, British pounds and Euro are accepted (enquire at the hotel for daily exchange rates). However, US Dollar bills printed between 1996 and 1999 are generally not accepted in Kenya due to excessive forgery.

Credit cards

Major credit cards are accepted in most hotels and restaurants in the city. At Heritage Hotels, we accept Visa, MasterCard, Amex and Pay Pal.

Communication

Landlines do not work, but cell phone reception for GSM phones is good in most parts of the camp.
